2 Part Chair Acro Yoga Workshop

Join my 2 Part Chair Acro Yoga Workshop at The Walker Studio in Winnipeg’s Exchange District. This yoga-inspired chair acro workshop will begin with sun salutations and a yogic warm-up, focusing on technique. We will look at the difference between dynamic and strength bearing vinyasas. Familiar balances such as crow and salamba sirsasana (head stand) will be reviewed. It’s okay if you can’t do a headstand…(yet!) It is not a requirement and there will be so much to work on, don’t sweat it if there’s one thing you haven’t mastered! I will break down the steps to learning eka pada koundinyasana (flying split) and then we will move our practise from the mat, to the chair! The workshops will build upon one another, but don’t sweat it if you can only make it to one!

While this is an advanced yoga workshop, there will always be modifications and variations.

Please note, this workshop is NOT intended for those with mobility issues, back or wrist injuries.

When people hear “chair” and “yoga” in the same sentence, immediately people assume it is gentle or for people with limited mobility. To be clear, it is not.
