Private Yoga Classes for Senior Citizens

A one hour class can be divided into a series of standing asanas (asana is the Sanskrit word for yogic postures or movements), seated sequences in a chair, and/or a mat series dependent on the abilities of the individual. I have taught standing yoga, chair yoga, and mat yoga to senior citizens and adults with aphasia (brain damage or trauma that affects one’s motor skills and ability to communicate.)

A typical class may consist of a standing series of asanas for the first half hour and the second half hour could be a sequence of seated postures in a chair. Again, this class is custom designed for you!
